America Might Never Be Eclipsed By China’s Economy

In the year 1997, the economists at the IMF, International Monetary Fund highlighted that China’s economy has been growing so rapidly that it might as well become bigger than the economy of the United States by 2017.

That pretty much did not turn out to be true.

While China’s economy did go pretty high, along with its population crossing 1 billion, that made sure that gradually it might become the biggest market in the world.

In 2010, as estimated by Goldman Sachs, China’s economy could easily overtake America’s throne as the largest economy in the world by 2030.

The Economist was, however, bolder while predicting that China would easily take away America’s position by 2019.

The transition, whenever it may happen, would be ready to challenge the influence that the United States has in every corner of the world.

However, circumstances now make it look like the day may never come.

China’s economy has hit the limits in a way that indicates that the 25 years of supercharged growth maybe on the brink of ending even before China achieves the name of being a superpower.

The economy of China never powered out of the Corona pandemic in the way the US economy did – and now it is barely growing.

While economists must marvel at China’s prosperity miracle, they are now more concerned if the woes of China will likely bring down other sections of the global economy as well.
